Do you ever feel like your mind is going 100 mph and you can’t get it to stop?

I get it. Constantly overthinking, rehearsing future situations, and feeling so rigid that perfection leaves you exhausted. And try as you may by talking things over with friends, trying medication, or even reading self-help books, you still feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.

You have big life ambitions and dreams you want to accomplish, but anytime you try to make a move, your brain shuts you down. You’re tired of feeling like your life is on hold and you’re ready for long-term fixes rather than short-term relief.

As someone who’s been there personally and who’s walked this path with my patients, I understand how overwhelming it can be when your own mind feels like the enemy. All the racing thoughts, agonizing over things you said in conversations with friends, or even talking yourself out of things you truly want to do…I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be this way.

My goal as a therapist is simple, to help you find relief and tools so you can live your best life. I’m here to help you understand why your brain is the way it is, guide you through the uncomfortableness of it all, and help you allow yourself to take steps towards living a peaceful life.

Stephanie Does Therapy: Individual & Group Therapy in Oklahoma and North Carolina

Hi, I am Stephanie Winfrey!

Helping those with anxiety, ROCD, & trauma find peace

I’m Stephanie, the therapist for driven, goal seeking, ambitious people. I find most of my patients describe themselves as deep feelers or overthinkers who may have had some levels of a chaotic childhood or upbringing. My patients find me because they’re ready to make friends with their brains rather than feeling paralyzed by negative thoughts.

Life can get really complicated, especially when trauma, ROCD, and relationships are all tangled up in the mix. And being someone who’s been through this too, I know exactly what it’s like to feel stuck while also wishing I could just get my brain to calm down.

As I’ve spent years studying anxiety, trauma, and more recently ROCD therapies, I’m the perfect person to help you explore the patterns that keep you going in circles and break free from your overthinking and overwhelming feelings. Life doesn’t have to be this way, and as someone on the other side of anxiety, trauma, and ROCD, I can promise that life can be beautiful with the right support.
